This is one of the few places in the Magic Kingdom where you can make a lunch reservation so you can get away from the heat and have some table service. The food was good, nothing out of this world. The cheeseburger was good, the fries were good, the homemade potato chips were GREAT! I also tried their "vegetarian" selection, which is tomato, pesto, & mozzarella on focaccia. All in all, it was fine, and I'd go back just to relax a bit and get away from the heat for a little while.

This Restaurant all covered in White paint and scalloped wood all over the large front porch, takes you back to the early days of the last century. Once inside, there is art nouveau & mirrors everywhere, so that you can check your hair and self. Isn't that why they have them there? Anyway.. The Food, Great grilled Deli style Sandwiches...Reuben's, Burgers, Salads and hand dipped ice creams. Hey Philly, they have our Cheese Steak here.

Of all the places we ate a Disney, this was by far the worst. Very poor service. The food was not bad the only thing I can remember is how long it took to get anything. Drink refills were just not happening when we were there. When we go back, we will skip this one.

:o| We were on the Disney Dining plan and used this meal as our sit down. So with the dining package we get to choose one entree, one drink, and one dessert. This restaurant is tiny and holds less than 100 people, so don't be surprised that even if you have a reservation there might be a chance that you're going to wait. Entrees: Cheeseburger and fries - I decided to get my burger fully loaded with tomato, lettuce, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms. Sadly, our waitress left off my bacon, but ehh... it wasn't a huge deal. The ciabatta bread it was served on was a bit much for me, so I opted to leave off the top slice and use my lettuce to secure all my ingredients in place. Overall it was an OK burger, nothing extraordinary, just mediocre. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy with corn - This was the special they seemed to be pushing tonight. It was just OK. Dessert: Banana split - Just a regular ole banana split with a scoop of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate with strawberry topping, crush pineapple, and hot fudge, all topped on the respectively over the corresponding scoops. Half a banana on either side and topped with whipped cream and walnuts. It's huge, you have to really be in the ice cream mood to finish this. A couple words of advice. If you order a milkshake it counts as your drink and dessert. Also, be weary, our server was really slow, hence the reason I didn't even bother to ask for my bacon to go on my cheeseburger. So overall, it was a meh meal with meh service.

Casual food with comfort of a sit down restaurant. We have lunch here most of our Magic Kingdom visits. Good milkshakes. Recommended.

Why accepting reservation when we still had to wait 40 minutes? It's turning into the classic Seinfeld: "See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them." Why bother!

I love how they put the suggested tip percentage with the wrong amount. So 20% of 43 bucks is 7.99? It made me crack up. Anyway, to get to eat here, you'll need to get a reservation, I had the meat loaf which can feed 2 people and the Sundae that was really good. It's got a good view of the Castle and the park, so you can see the 3PM parade if you have a 2:30 reservation. It's not as big as I thought, the downside is you have to go outside to go to the restroom because they don't have one here. Price for 2 people with dessert is about 40 bucks, not bad right?

Need a reservation to get into this place or almost any restaurant in Magic Kingdom!! I'm glad we got a reservation! So hungry! This place is very quaint. My friends and I went on 2/23/2015. The servers are kind of slow compared to DC and NYC but they get the job done. I think it's a FL thing... The food was good. I'd go back again for sure. I ordered the Turkey club sandwich w broccoli slaw x 2 because I ate my first order then was still hungry so I ordered it again and split it with my 3 friends. The server was a bit surprised when I told her I wanted a second order... hahaha I told her it was really good and wanted another. One of my friends ordered the Brisket burger w broccoli slaw. It was a large portion and he was full after eating it but still had room for 1/4 of my tasty turkey club. One of my friends ordered the 10oz meatloaf meal. She shared it with a friend and she was too full for the turkey club. The meatloaf was very good! I had several bites. One of my friends ordered the Chicken sandwich w french fries. It was good but my turkey club was better. He also took 1/4 of my second turkey club.

We easily made a reservation for lunch about two hours beforehand. We received a buzzer when we got there. Didn't have to wait long. Service was slow. We ordered one kids meal which the waitress kindly split for the two kids. Then we were charged for two milks and two desserts when we only asked for one. You receive only a few fries with your food. They automatically added 18% gratuity which we would have not given. It was expensive and slow and we did not have a good feeling when we left. Wouldn't return.

Most of the restaurants at Magic Kingdom was booked with reservations. This was the only one that was still being accepted and was also near the firework show. We showed up 20 minutes prior to our reservations hoping that we can get a table a bit earlier, which we did... About 10 minutes earlier than our reservation. The inside was very cute. Everything was white and it looked between both fancy and casual. Although, I kind of wish that it was a bit cleaner. The food was a disappointment. Their cold-slaw which was their signature sides was a disappointment. It didn't taste very fresh, it was chewy and my jaw started hurting to some point. My tuna sandwich was okay and filled me up pretty quickly. My sister got the vegetarian sandwich and she thought it was okay. She didn't like the fact that most of the sandwich was mainly a chunk of cheese. And my friend liked his sandwich (whatever he got), but he was always a master of ordering food... But even then he said it was "okay." Overall, my favorite part of the meal with probably the cold-slaw even though it was tough to chew. That says a lot. I would not come here again the next time I come to Magic Kingdom! I'm making sure to make reservations way ahead of time!

Located at the very end of Main Street USA, the Plaza can easily go unnoticed as you're galloping past to make it to Space Mountain in nearby Tomorrowland. However, if you're looking for a classic meal to enhance the Magic Kingdom experience you will find it at the Plaza. The decor is SO Main Street, from the artwork on the menus to the outfits the staff wears - it exudes that classic Victorian style synonymous with Main Street and the Magic Kingdom. It's not a big restaurant but the colors are bright so you don't feel cramped. Our server, Angela, was great - really the epitome of Disney customer service; she did a great job. The lunch menu is no frills - it includes classic sandwiches and salads with slight twists on them to make the experience somewhat unique. I went simple and had the Plaza Club, which had turkey, ham, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on white with a side of fries; my sandwich was tasty and remained intact as I was eating it (don't you hate when it all falls apart after the first bite?). You're able to choose other sides but I can't pass up fries with a club sandwich! Overall, food was okay - nothing stands out too much but it was good. Would I go back? Possibly - it wouldn't be a "must eat" for me when I'm in Disney but if my circumstances find me in the Magic Kingdom I would definitely consider it.

One of the few place at Magic Kingdom accepting reservations. Our lunch here was nothing to write home about. The service was OK, the food less so and the milkshakes more so. The servers here are constantly running about the place probably reasonable for far too many tables. I had to keep flagging someone down for water refills. My wife and I ordered burgers. Tip #1, the burgers are cooked well done if you don't say differently. Ours lacked any flavor and bordered on tasting like the Salisbury steak you used to get as a kid at the school cafeteria. They are generous with the toppings offering cheese, bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms if so inclined. The shakes we ordered were great though and very generous in portions especially when compared to the shake we got at the Sci Fi Drive-in the next day. Tip #2, be the 100th party to be seated that day and get free desert. It happened right after us so we were like number 98 or so and had a 110pm reservation.

I had reservations for dinner, which was made through the Disney website. We wanted to go there earlier for dinner and decided to see if they were able to seat us earlier. We were given a buzzer and had to wait about 15 minutes and we were able to dine in much earlier than our original reservation. So if you can't get the time of your choice when making a reservation through Disney website. I suggest going to the restaurant to give it a shot if you can push up the time slot. The restaurant is beautiful with servers dressed up in cute yellow dresses. The food is not as fancy as the restaurant's décor. They mainly serve sandwiches. I had the cheese steak sandwich and you get to pick a side of your choice. I had it with French fries. Both the sandwich and fries were pretty good. The portions and prices were reasonable. Service was top notch. My drink was refilled without me requesting it. The restaurant is also close to the viewing point of the nighttime shows at Disney.

If this restaurant were located anywhere besides Disney World, I would probably give it two stars. But compared to all of the other terrible dining options at Disney World, this place is a gem. This restaurant is indoors and sit-down, which is wonderful when it is sweltering outside. The entrees are $13-18. This is of course a rip-off. But the value is better than other restaurants at Disney. Other restaurants at Disney are either incredibly greasy places with horrible $10 sandwiches that you order at a counter or more expensive sit-down places. We received a free dessert because we were the 100th customers that day! We had the brownie sundae. It was not quite mediocre, but hey, it was free! Be sure to make reservations at least a day in advance for any sit-down place at Disney World. We learned this our first day there when we couldn't get into any of the sit-down places. You can make a reservation using the Disney World app.

Went: 2:00 pm Wed Aug 12 2015 Ordered: Cheese Steak Sandwich Cost: $12.99 U.S. before tax At the airport, I had a Tim Horton's cheese steak sandwich for a third of the price. Tim Horton's food does not taste as processed as McDonalds but there is of course something lacking compared to freshly made food. So I thought this cheese steak was better than that, but not by much. My date disagreed. The ambiance and decor was very old fashioned. The customer service was quite cold. I was not feeling the magic! They were a little frugal on the fries. Some restaurants give you tons of fries after all it is of little cost to them ... not here. Bottom line: The sandwich was good, if over priced. However, the wanting customer service, uninspired setting and little fries will make me round down.T Note: the other couple we were with were very unimpressed with their food.

Right off of Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom. Definitely make advance dining reservations. When you check in they'll give you a buzzer while a table is prepared. Too bad there was construction outside otherwise waiting wouldn't be as bad. We sat right next to a window which is great for people watching over lunch. The service and decor was great I mean it's Disney after all. The chairs were somewhat uncomfortable but it's a chair. The kids had the usual kid entrees which was great. My highlight for lunch was my Angus burger. It came with beef brisket, Caramelized onions, provolone cheese on the burger. It was a pretty dam good burger. Overall it's a great place to dine. It's Disney!!

We ate here for dinner on our recent trip to Disney World. With a reservation, we still had to wait for our table (on a Wednesday night in February). The menu is limited (as with all Disney restaurants) and was mostly sandwiches, even at dinner time. I chose the meatloaf special and my husband had the hamburger. Both dishes were good. The Meatloaf is HUGE and we easily could have shared that dish. I recommend going next door for ice cream rather than ordering it at the restaurant because the ice cream parlor itself has a larger selection.

My wife & 14 year some final got a chance to eat here and we were not disappointed!! Pleasantly surprised I might add!! Great service, great food, great atmosphere!! Sandwiches and salads are very delicious here!! It's a cute little place that I can see exactly what Walt had in mind when he saw a bistros back in the 30s! So cool!

This is a nice restaurant to relax, and enjoy a quick sit-down dinner in the air-conditioning. We had reservations, and they seated us promptly at our allotted time. Our server was quick, and friendly. I had a club which was pretty typical, and they offered 3 choices for a side (fries, broccoli slaw, chips). The meal was a decent price for the amount and quality of the food. As compared with some of the other options (excluding the ever -popular "Be Our Guest") this is one of the better choices for dining at the Magic Kingdom.

    (3)
  • Michael M.

Angela, our server, was as good as my (exceptional) banana split! Many servers show disappointment when you only order desert, but our server took great care of us and acted as if we were ordering drinks, appetizers, dinner, and desert! We just wanted some ice cream and a respite from the heat! Again, fantastic service and some much-needed ice cream! Thank you Angela!

We had lunch at The Plaza during one of our "magic kingdom" days on our recent trip to Disney world. I had the Tomato Bisque and it was very good and for my entree I had the Ruben. If any of you read my reviews you know I'm pretty picky about my Rubens so when I say I didn't care for it that may not be because it's bad it might be just me but here goes. I didn't like it. The corned beef was sliced way too thick and was very chewy and hard to bite through. There was too much fat still left on the meat (I prefer to have most of it trimmed off). Every time I tried to take a bite all of the meat came off. I had to re assemble the sandwich several times and pull big pieces of fat off. The sauerkraut was really good though so I mostly ended up with a grilled sauerkraut and thousand island sand which which tasted good but of course was not that filling. So why three stars? The dessert was amazing. I had an ice cream sundae with hand dipped mint chocolate chip and hot fudge and it was so rich and tasty. Next time I'd just hit up the plaza ice cream parlor next door where they get the desserts from!

I've been to many Walt Disney World restaurants over the years and I think the Plaza restaurant is really underrated. The ambience is nice and traditional. The restaurant itself is pretty small and down right peaceful compared to other Disney spots... maybe only 25 tables or so. The small size makes it feel like an actual Main Street USA restaurant. There is something for everyone, sandwiches and burgers are good. Prices are unbelievably reasonable. and during both our visits the 'mayor' of Main Street USA visited the restaurant while we were there; not a crazy character experience but fun nonetheless!

This is a hidden gem, folks! We got right in, even without a reservation. Table service for $15 in Magic Kingdom. Hearty meatloaf was very good. The Plaza Reataurant also offers a great variety of sandwiches. Everyone liked their meal. Quaint, quick, friendly, & air conditioned! Will definitely be back!

I'm very happy that I made reservations here. When choosing restaurants for our trip, my husband chose this one after viewing the menu. We were trying to mix up the types of food and this was a very needed light dinner. It was crazy hot while we were at Disney and the day we ate here, the last thing I wanted was a hot meal. My husband chose the club sandwich and I decided on the tuna salad on a croissant. We split the sandwiches so we could try each and we agreed that this dinner was exactly what we were wanting. Our kiddos liked that the grilled cheese was in the shape of a fish and all of us enjoyed our ice cream sundaes! I highly suggest the typical hot fudge sundae...best one I've had in a long time and you don't have to have just vanilla ice cream! They have a few flavors to choose from and even let you choose two different flavors if you'd like. Definitely going to consider coming back when we return to Disney World.

Go for desserts if your here. Otherwise it's just overpriced diner fare. I had a club sandwich, it was good, nothing great. The fries were luke warm and doughy. Looking around the dining area, it's just old and grungy with 10 coats of paint covering the beat up trim. If you need to use up a last table service meal on a dining plan, try it just so you can have the dessert!

    (2)
  • Linh T.

The food here was delicious! I really enjoyed the burgers they have and was tempted to try out their dessert but was too stuffed to even try any of it! Will come back and try their dessert in the future when I come back to Disney =)

Ok peeps. As with almost any table service restaurant in Disney World, you gotta make reservations. I had a fine experience at the Plaza Restaurant. We were at the Magic Kingdom over a holiday weekend (Easter), so it was pretty packed. My dad and I had made prior reservations, we were seated within 5 minutes of arrival, our waitress was ridiculously nice and attentive, and the food was good (not gourmet - what Disney World lacks in amazingly delicious food it makes up for in magic, duh). Plaza Restaurant is also on the cheaper end of the table service restaurants in Disney World. I'm sure service can be hit or miss, so I understand people saying that they had bad service. I've definitely had bad service at other places in the WDW Resort, but it's not a frequent occurrence by any means. I'd give this place a try if you're at the Magic Kingdom. The inside of it is pretty nice and fits in very well on Main St. USA!

Seated nearly an hour after our reservation, with barely a "sorry". Food was poor, the apple we ordered as a kid appetizer was actually mostly brown, I could not believe they served it to us. Our server was creepy, the place was a freaking mad house and poorly run. Our personal stroller went missing during dinner, and the staff could not have been more UNhelpful. If I had it to do all over again, I would stay the hell away from this place.

Had dinner reservations here while visiting the Magic Kingdom. We knew this wasn't going to be anything special, and from that perspective, it lived up to our expectations. We actually arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation, but they were able to seat us right away. We had a pretty good view of the castle and even saw bits of a parade that was going down Main Street. Our waitress was OK, but I felt service was a bit slow and would have liked for her to check-up on us a bit more often throughout our meal. That being said, we still enjoyed our meal. My wife has a food allergy, so the chef came out and explained all of her options, which was a really nice touch. He even delivered our food himself. He came out and checked on us during our meal and came back out towards the end to explain her dessert options. That's the Disney magic, and you usually wouldn't find service like this at most table-service restaurants. Both of my boys went with the grilled cheese and fries. The fries are on the thicker cut side. Some people like that, some don't. My one son also ordered a vanilla shake, which he and I ended up splitting because they are big! I had the chicken sandwich, which had shaved ham and cheese on it. The chicken was tender and juicy and overall, I enjoyed my sandwich. My wife had the burger with a gluten-free bun, which she said she enjoyed as well. For dessert, we shared a gluten-free brownie and ice cream. All in all, a good dinner. As I mentioned, service from our waitress could have been quicker. When you have two young boys who simply want to get back into the park to go on rides, it's frustrating waiting around to get the check, etc.

Spoiled by our lunch the previous day at Biergarten in Epcot, we were trying to find an equally good meal at Magic Kingdom. We were split between a few restaurants, and partially based on availability, we ended up at Plaza. We didn't make a reservation (that's apparently more necessary at Magic Kingdom than Epcot, by the way) and were originally told the wait could be up to 40-minutes. Less than 5-minutes later, our pager signaled a table was ready. No idea why they said the wait could be long given that at least half the restaurant was empty! My family and I ordered a cheese burger, a hamburger, a vegetarian sandwich, a corned beef hash sandwich, along with two milkshakes. The corned beef hash and burgers were good, but the vegetarian sandwich was really subpar. DEFINITELY do not order it. Overall, above what I would consider "theme park" fare, but not AMAZING (like Biergarten was). The milkshakes, however, were delicious. Plaza isn't a bad option by any means, but you might want to try a better reviewed restaurant first. But if you're in the area, you'll do fine here.

This is what it is! A cafe with food that is reasonably priced. They have sandwiches and salads. Don't forget the ice cream, the staff is slow and the host at the front taking your name down knows little English and makes it seem as if your the foreigner. Anyways, our waitress was nice. All I got was the club sandwich and fries, nothing too mazing the fries was bland and my bread was too crunchy. This is a good place vs. the hotdogs and other stuff you find in the park you can actually find something healthy :)

  • Sara E.

I really don't get why this place is so popular. I mean, the food is good, but it is fine dining style slooooooow. The menu is similar to what you might get in a quick service, but obviously fresher. They were very accommodating to my allergies, but I have come to expect that at Disney, and I have seen it done much better. (Try Kouzzina, gluten free people!) If you really love sandwiches and fries, I guess you might want to try this place, but if you want something healthier or more sophisticated, you're in the wrong place.

    (2)
  • Jeff K.

I love the meatloaf. The waitress service was great, hostess was kinda put offish (aka BITCH) but the food was great. The place is usually messy cause it's also a great kid (really young yutes) location to dine and at dinner time it's melt down time for the young ones. I'll be back next year, hopefully the hostess isn't there. Maybe I'll sprinkle some fairy dust on her to change her attitude.

My husband and I went to the Plaza restaurant recently and I was disappointed. The restaurant was dirty and run down looking. One of the light fixtures was even missing a shade. Our server seemed like he was in a hurry to get us out of the restaurant and he wasn't Disney friendly, if you know what I mean. We came in close to closing time. However, that shouldn't make a difference with this being a restaurant inside the park. I'm almost certain they are packed until closing every night. The food was good, though nothing fancy, sandwiches etc. The prices were decent, especially for a Disney World, sit down restaurant, in the theme park. I just wish they'd put a little more effort into the cleanliness of the place. It was very unlike Disney. Hopefully they get the quality up to par in the future. One thing I will say is this place has a great view of the shows. If you time your reservation right, you can eat while watching the fireworks at the Castle.

My husband and I (yes no kids) wanted something reasonable, with no character dining. This place was adorable, and the food was surprisingly fresh and not too heavy - which is helpful on those very hot days. I ordered the vegetable sandwich with broccoli slaw and it was a large portion, with fresh crisp ingredients. Service was not too slow or too fast. We were pleasantly surprised when the Mayor came into the restaurant to do a "hear ye hear ye" speech.

We had lunch reservations on a Monday with extended magical evening hours so it was crowded This is a must for reservations. With reservations we still had to wait 10 minutes but overheard people being told a 90 minute wait with no ressies. I have had this on my list of Disney restaurants try for quit a while and it finally worked out for us on this trip. The place is much smaller than I thought it would be but cute. I ordered a sandwich, hubby got a salad and our son got the PB&J. The kids meal was the best deal because it even came with a big sized sundae. It was good but not great. Would I eat there again, probably not since Disney offers so many great places to eat.

  • Sandy C.

My girls and I chose this restaurant because it was close enough to the castle for the fireworks. The wait was about 40 minutes, but we still waited for it because it was the closest restaurant to the fireworks. The decor was pretty grand with interesting light fixtures and marble table tops. Our server was really nice, attentive and have a very projecting voice. Even through the busiest and noisiest time, we were able to hear him clearly. I ordered a cheeseburger with mushrooms and fries. The burger was pretty okay and I loved the mushrooms with it. I ordered an orange soda and wow the orange soda here was very good. I know it's just a fountain drink, but for some reason it's very different and good. It seems like there's extra fizzle!

I will join the others who have noted this, but also WARN you...you will not get in at your reservation time! You probably will not get in within 15 minutes of your reservation time (esp during busy seasons). As others have noted, we waited 40 minutes past our reservation time...huh? I wouldn't accept that outside of the park at a good restaurant...why should I here when they make me pay through the nose for a mediocre burger??? Our table wasn't situated to take advantage of a view of the castle. I would daresay most tables aren't...unless you're by a window! wink wink We had a party of seven, everyone ate sandwiches or burgers and most of us had ice cream. With sodas, our bill came to about $20 per person. This is pretty typical of Disney venues. I just hate paying that much when the meal is so...average. I'm not sure what people are talking about when they say the ice cream is delicious. Of the 6 treats that came to our table, they were all okay...but no sauce, no creation, no ice cream screamed special or different. I actually found the brownie sundae icky. A giant, hard to cut, industrially made brownie with too little ice cream to balance it out. Bleck. Also, service was particularly forced here. They kept slipping up on stuff and smiling realllllly hard. I felt bad for our waiter as opposed to annoyed. The main attraction - to me - was sitting and enjoying a meal with my family in the park without too much activity around us.

They got my order wrong, twice. BUT, when it finally was right, it was fantastic! Got the meat loaf and a vanilla shake. The shake was to die for.

This is the absolute best DEAL in magic kingdom. The food here is far better than any counter/quick service restaurant, and it's about the same price. literarily only a couple items are truly in $$ range. Plus it's table service and if you make a reservation you won't have to wait for a table, and you'll probably your food faster than any other restaurant with out standing in a line. The only downside is it's mostly sandwiches, but they are truly delicious!!

It is really hard for me to review anything Disney.. c'mon, it's freaking DISNEY. It is all magical! It is just about finding the most spectacular of all the magicalness I suppose. The Plaza Restaurant is charming, cute decor and the waiters/waitress in true Disney fashion, are decked out in period costumes. This is a sit down restaurant, not a fast service, but the prices are not astronomical and taking the time to sit down and enjoy a bite to eat is much recommended. The menu consist of sandwiches and a few salads. Good, not out of this world, but very tasty. That is the food, when it comes to the ice cream, well that is a different story. I had to get a banana split, had to. It was top 5 banana splits I've consumed. They didn't miss a beat, and it was huge and delicious and I feel sad that I could not finish it all. What does stick out most about the Plaza Restaurant was the service. I don't think my glass was empty the whole lunch. Our waiter, without being asked, would bring new beverages for the table when he saw ours getting low. He was super accommodating, especially when 3 out of 4 in the party had a multitude of changes to make to their ice cream order. Superior!

  • Bob L.

The Plaza is one Magic Kingdom restaurant that is easy to miss for it sits down from the always packed Plaza Ice Cream parlor on the end of Disney Main Street right. The restaurant would have a wonderful view if it were on the second story but it is almost buried on a lesser route to Tomorrowland. The view of the castle is lost in a maze of tourists. The restaurant takes reservations but during peak seasons people pile up outside even with reservations. The kitchen also gets behind when the place is busy - maybe they are taking the Victorian theme too seriously. I have found the food good - particularly their meatloaf and reubens. The service is also excellent although I have heard and read of problems. As expected, the ice cream desserts are the best in the Magic Kingdom. I would do the Plaza if I'm hungry, happen to walk by, and see the restaurant isn't busy. When the restaurant is packed, it loses its Victorian charm.

Fiancee and I read reviews before we stepped in here. Here's a tip: Order everything as soon as the waiter comes. Plan ahead, Know the menu and immediately order. It will save you time. We had a reservation at 230. We decided to check in at 150 in order to be seated next to a window. Failure on their part. We wanted to take a view of the parade as we ate. One of the hostess said we wouldn't be able to see it from the window. WE still wanted a window though. Well that didn't happen. They sat us around 230. Waste of time coming early. Initially we were going to be seated in the corner of a restaurant, next to an unruly child. Walking in, several tables were empty. We asked to be seated closer to the door. They were helpful then. We haev been to several restaurants before and just from experiencing front of house we are able to figure out how service will be. Anyways, we ordered everything at once, and it helped. We sat... waiter came in about 5 min, said hi. We were ready to order and we did. Food came in about 10-15 min. We were surprised. Ordered burger w fries, coke, rueben w house chips. Very good food. Bill was 30 dollars, with table of wonderland discount. WE did not stay for dessert because we were full. Results: Front of house: needs work Decoration: Very nice, mirrors make it seem bigger than what it is. Food: Very Good Price: Can pay less at other locations, but decent. Waiter: Quick, to the point. Didn't give us issues. We asked for refills with the check. The gentleman brought us to go cups with our drinks. WE were grateful. Verdict: we might come back. On the fence.

One of our less favorite dining experiences during our recent Disney trip. Our reservations were pushed back only slightly, not a big deal. Waiter service was slow, especially considering the Plaza is one of the smaller reservation restaurants. Food time was a bit tardy as well. Lunch seems to be their best time, and the menu is comprised of mainly soups, sandwiches, chips and/or fries. A seemingly simple menu didn't garner rave reviews from my co-diners. My Vegetarian Sandwich and Broccoli Slaw, was received similarly to theirs: EH, IT'S OKAY. The pesto added a bright flavor to the bland, more-less caprese-style sandwich, but nothing jumped out at me, nothing to write home about. The one and only shining star was dessert. One of the best, and biggest Banana Splits I've ever had. Definitely try it if on the DDP and get dessert with your entree.... The Plaza is an average, olde fashioned sandwich shop. And with soooo many other, better places to eat at, I'd be more apt to try the same (better) place two or three times before re-visit The Plaza.

We beat the lunch rush today by dining early so were able to walk right in. This place got good reviews on a Disney site (I hadn't actually checked here) so I wanted to try it (and get out of the heat). It was decent but nothing amazing. Other half and I got the reubens with a milkshake, older sprogling got the club sandwich, mini sprogling ordered the kid's cheeseburger plate. The milkshakes were huge and yummy, they give you the metal container with the extra so it's really about 2 milkshakes worth. The whipped cream they put on top was very good as well. Honestly if I had been able to drink my whole milkshake I wouldn't have had room for food. I gave a little bit of my shake to Older Sprogling. The reuben was decent but not amazing. The bread needed to be grilled more (it was only very lightly toasted) and some care taken for it not to get soggy (one half was soggy, the other wasn't.) The meat was good though the sandwich tasted better once we slathered mustard on it. I could barely taste the sauerkraut or thousand island. I did really like the fries that it came with but couldn't finish them. J and I were of two minds at the value - I thought the prices weren't bad 'for Disney' given that we got to sit down out of the heat. He thought the burgers we'd had at Tomorrowland Terrace were a better value (but the outdoor seating wasn't as comfortable). I personally would rather eat here, but I think we should have split a milkshake instead of each ordering one. The kid's meals aren't cheap but they get a lot for it. Appetizer, entree, dessert and drink for I think $8.50. Honestly that would have been enough food for me, except I'm over 9 and they probably would have noticed.

We made reservations at The Plaza for our last night at Disney. I knew we wanted something fast and easy and no character dining but no quick service. This fit the bill. Like most Disney Restaurants, this one had a sticky feel to it. Like the place needs a really good scrubbing. The hostesses out front were nice. We had a reservation for 6:25, which is late for us (more like, late for our 2 year old), but it was the only time I could get a month in advance. We weren't seated until 6:45, which to me, sort of defeats the purpose of a reservation. The menu was simple, cheap and easy, just like we wanted. We ordered salads and sandwiches and they came out rather fast. Everyone agreed their food was good. I had the cheese steak, which was the best thing I ate during our time at Disney (Disney food, nicely put, sucks). I wish there had been more steak and less bun. Our server didn't speak very good English, but we managed. Overall, this is the only Disney dining experience that I'd repeat during our next trip.

Well. Obviously this was magical. C'mon! Disneyworld! But really, this place was priced cheaper than park food. A family of four eating for $40 IN THE PARK! Unheard of. We managed sameday reservations on Christmas Eve. (a miracle in itself) The food was delicious. Complaints: the air conditioning was pumping on max for the cast members in their heavy uniforms, but we were freezing! We had to wait 45 minutes even with a reservation. (But it was Christmas Eve so understandable!)

Great burger. Awesome server. Delicious ice cream desserts. You can't go wrong with the yummy menu!! The place is adorable and straight out of the early 1900s. Only complaint is that they have ONE person seating everyone so even if you have a reservation, you may be waiting a while. But you can't beat good food and an awesome view of the castle!

Average, nothing to jump up and down about but it gets you out of the sun. One visit my burger was cold, another visit the bread was a little stale. The cold cuts look pre-portioned for assembly-line production and taste...mediocre. Not even Boar's Head with these prices? Magic Kingdom is not known for its sit-down meals, go Epcot if you are looking for something delicious. This is merely filling.

It is rare that I find a restaurant in Disney World that I do not like. My wife and I needed to have an early lunch and did not have any reservations, so I used the DisneyParks iPhone app on our way into the park and reserved a spot at the restaurant's opening. That was a plus. We were lucky to be the first couple seated in the restaurant, but we sat for almost 20 minutes before a waitress came and took our drink order. I'm usually patient about this, but when we were literally (for almost 5 minutes) the only people in the restaurant that is unacceptable. She was also inattentive, gruff, and apparently in a hurry to move along. The only exception was her tendency to keep foisting more sodas on us despite the fact that we asked her to wait a couple times because she was dropping off soda when we were only half finished with the last one. I understand that this can be a plus, but not when it gets excessively wasteful. Then we got to the food. I ordered: the Grilled Chicken Sandwich (*), & the day's special Dulce De Leche Milk Shake (*****). My wife had the Chicken Strawberry Salad ("It was pretty good"), and the Brownie Sundae ("It was AWESOME... and way to big.") The chicken sandwich I had was incredibly dry and completely bland in flavor, but the milk shake was excellent. I know one visit with exceptionally bad service and entree item isn't always the best benchmark, but I will not be eating at this restaurant again any time soon to try to alter my perception.

Such a wonderful, lunch location at the Magic Kingdom. They have great Burgers and sandwiches and soups. The tomato soup is amazing and the croutons that garnish the soup make you want to keep ordering more. The ruben and the club are delicious and you can order milkshakes that come from the ice cream shop right next door. I think my favorite reason to dine here is because it is such a quaint, small table service location. Right off Main Street U.S.A. The only thing I wished they would change would to be have a nighttime dinner menu. But other than that...I LOVE IT :)

Great option for a burger or easy sandwich. The tomato soup is absolutely fantastic. It is quite cold in there. The A/C is cranked. Of course, if you're there in 99 degree weather, it feels good. If you're wet from getting caught in a downpour, you will freeze. Sometimes the mayor comes in and banters with the guests. LOVELY spot!

Great place to have a lunch while at the Magic Kingdom. The Plaza offers a variety of sandwiches, soups, and also salad. It is a wonderful way to cool off from the Florida heat. The Plaza is known for their wonderful milkshakes and ice cream desserts. I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich which had grilled chicken breast topped with shaved ham and Swiss cheese served on a flour-dusted Kaiser. It was very tastey with french fries. I had to have a vanilla malt too. YUM!! You get a large glass with your milkshake/malt and the metal container it was mixed in making nearly enough for two servings! I also had a cherry coke with cherries and grenadine like the old drugstores used to sell. I LOVE real cherry cokes. The decor is lovely and Victorian. It is a small restaurant seating only about 100.

just thinking about being anyplace near cinderella's castle makes me giddy all over again. yes..as a child i was deprived of disney world. i've only been to disneyland california...but disney world....that was my dream as a kid. so you can only imagine my heart's content when i stepped foot onto the wdw property..merely meters away from touching the walls of the lovely castle. this victorian like cafe is situated right before the drawbridge of the castle at the corner of the main street called main st. hehe. a pleasant decor features marble-like tabletops, a carpeted floor and wrought iron chairs w/ padded seats. our server was friendly and very attentive...which i liked considering how demanding our little toddler was. i ordered the grilled reuben which was "pretty good" for my tasting. thinly sliced corned beef was sandwiched w/ sauerkraut and swiss on marbled rye. dressing was creamy and not too sour. i believe the husband had a cheeseburger and DD had mac/chz, which they both enjoyed. don't forget to go to the ice cream parlor next door which has hand-dipped shakes, splits, and sundaes! yum! :)

  • This restaurant is located at the end of Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom - it serves american food, with good sized portions and good value for money. The theming is a bit better than a diner, and the service is of the great Disney Standard. It is a casual eatery, serving burgers, chips and brilliant ice cream sundaes. This is a great place to cool off and grab some food while enjoying a day at the park.
